APhA Releases New Edition of Popular Reference Material: Peripheral Brain for the Pharmacist

WASHINGTON, DC — The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) recently published the 3^rd edition of Peripheral Brain for the Pharmacist, a reference widely used by both pharmacy practitioners and student pharmacists.

Peripheral Brain for the Pharmacist is a collection of more than 30 core reference materials printed on lab coat pocket—sized, laminated cards. Hole-punched with a metal ring to hold the collection together, the reference cards provide succinct clinical information that student pharmacists and practicing pharmacists frequently look up: creatinine clearance; guidelines on hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol, asthma and COPD; serum concentrations; aminoglycoside therapy; insulin analogues; immunization schedules; and warfarin interactions.
