5 Can't Miss Events at This Year's NASP Conference

The National Association of Specialty Pharmacy Annual Meeting and Educational Conference has a full slate of events in addition to a packed agenda.

The National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP) Annual Meeting and Educational Conference is an opportunity for specialty pharmacy stakeholders to network and learn more about the ever-changing industry. The meeting will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, DC, from September 18-20, 2017.

Besides attending sessions, there are some fun things to do at the conference this year that should be taken advantage of.

Here are some events you should check out while at the conference next week:

1. Welcome Reception and Networking

The welcome reception is always a great way to get excited about the conference and say hello to the people you see every year at NASP. This year, the reception will take place from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the exhibit hall on September 18, 2017.

2. Fun run/walk

There is no better way to kick off the annual meeting than an exhilarating run or walk through Washington, DC. It’s a great way to have fun with your team, catch up with friends, or meet new people in the industry.

This wellness initiative takes place from 6 am to 7 am on September 19, 2017. Be sure to pick up your map at the registration desk to know where to meet.

3. Women in Specialty Pharmacy Luncheon

This exclusive event is being held on September 19, 2017, from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm in the Delaware room. While additional registration is required, attendees will have the opportunity to network and learn from other women in specialty.

4. Meet the Board/Member Appreciation Reception

Whether it’s your first year at the NASP meeting or you have been to it every year, this event will surely be something to talk about. It will be held on September 19, 2017, from 6:30 pm to 8 pm in the exhibit hall.

5. Yoga

At this year’s second wellness initiative, Cheryl Allen, RPh, BS Pharm, MBA, will be leading a yoga class on September 20, 2017, from 6 am to 7 am. Attendees can use this time to relax and prepare for the day ahead.
