Test Receives High Marks

Findings presented recently at the meeting of the American College ofAllergy, Asthma & Immunology gave a thumbs-up to the Childhood AsthmaControl Test. Researchers touted the 7-question quiz as a reliable and accuratemethod of judging asthma control in children aged 4 to 11 years.

The test traces asthma symptoms to guide parents and physicians indetermining whether a child's asthma is under control. It is the first validatedasthma evaluation tool to involve both children and their parents/caregivers.The researchers reported that the Childhood Asthma Control Testaccurately classified a child's asthma control level in 72% of the cases.
