“Well I think that pharmacists have a very integral role in that pharmacists can reinforce the message that their patients are receiving from their physician. I think that pharmacists can also participate in the monitoring and follow-up of patients and talk to patients to help them to understand the connection between this medication that I’m picking up every month. ‘How is that going to affect me 10 years from now, 20 years from now, and why is that important?’”
