Pharmacologic Chronic Pain Treatment

In this video, Mary Lynn McPherson, PharmD, BCPS, CPE, talks about the basic tenets of pharmacologic chronic pain treatment. Dr. McPherson, who is professor and vice chair of Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, and president of the American Society of Pain Educators, highlights the importance of conducting a comprehensive assessment of patient's pain compliant and talks about the use of rational polypharmacy.
