Pet Peeves (April 2017)
This month's list includes patients with cigarette breath and fast talkers.
CIGARETTE BREATH
Patients who come into the pharmacy reeking of cigarette smoke. What they’re doing to their bodies is bad enough; they don’t have to bring the smell of it with them!
OOPS, I DID IT AGAIN
When doctors prescribe the wrong medication and I ask them to send in a new prescription for the correct one, only to receive another prescription for the wrong drug.
FAST TALKERS
Patients who blurt out their name and information too quickly for us to understand and then get irritated when we ask them to repeat themselves.
X MARKS THE SPOT
When coworkers put open bottles back on the shelf without marking them first.
What’s bothering you? Bossy patients, abandoned prescriptions, drive-thrus? Pharmacy Times wants to know. Send your pet peeves to PetPeeves@pharmacytimes.com. We’ll add them to our ongoing published list. Share your Pet Peeves with Pharmacy Times today!
