Onboarding the On-Body: Implementing Subcutaneous Isatuximab via On-Body Injector
Isatuximab on-body injector enables quick, hyaluronidase-free subcutaneous dosing, reducing reactions and easing multiple myeloma clinic workflows.
The advent of frontline quadruplet regimens containing anti-CD38 monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) added to RVd (lenalidomide [Revlimid; Bristol Myers Squibb], bortezomib [Velcade; Takeda Pharmaceuticals], dexamethasone) has improved outcomes for patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (MM) who are transplant eligible and, more recently, those who are transplant ineligible or have deferred transplant. These regimens have increased the likelihood of achieving higher response rates and measurable residual disease negativity, which have translated to significantly improved progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival. The 2 anti-CD38 mAbs used in this setting are isatuximab (Isa; Sarclisa; Sanofi) and daratumumab (Dara; Darzalex; Janssen Biotech), added to RVd.1
