In an interview with Pharmacy Times®and Directions in Oncology Pharmacy®, Abizer Gaslightwala, vice president and head of the U.S. Hematology and Oncology division at Jazz Pharmaceuticals discusses the company’s new digital resource, Nothing Small About It. The free online program for patients with small cell lung cancer and their caregivers was created with consultation from cancer organizations that include CancerCare, GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer, Lung Cancer Foundation of America, and LUNGevity Foundation. The program can be accessed online at https://www.nothingsmallaboutit.com/.

Abizer Gaslightwala: The need for education in small cell lung cancer is really high because of the nature of the disease and the different rounds of treatment: the initial treatment and, most likely, relapse; then treatment again and potential relapse again. There are a lot of emotional roller coasters, ups and downs, for patients and families.
