NACDS Launches Mobile-Ready Membership Directory

PRESS RELEASE

July 14, 2014, Alexandria, Va. — The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) today went live with a re-designed online Membership Directory that puts more than 22,000 NACDS retailer and supplier member contacts into members’ hands.

“The newly re-designed Membership Directory brings together two key aspects of what NACDS does so well —bringing together people within the industry and using technology to create the most user-friendly experience possible,” said NACDS President and CEO Steven C. Anderson, IOM, CAE.

Like the other features of NACDS.org, NACDS created the Membership Directory using responsive web design — meaning that members can use the powerful resource in a format that adjusts automatically for smart phones, tablets and computers.

After clicking on the clearly-presented “Chain Members” or “Associate Members” buttons within the Directory, users can access useful information including individual contact information, explanations of parent- and subsidiary-company relationships, and Chains’ store- and pharmacy-counts and the states in which they operate.

Authorized member company representatives can update company information through NACDS.org. NACDS has developed a simple guide to assist members in updating company information that appears in the Membership Directory.

“The timing of this re-launch is ideal, with the 2014 NACDS Total Store Expo nearing so quickly. The new and improved Membership Directory presents a taste of the value that NACDS delivers throughout the year,” Anderson explained.

The NACDS Total Store Expo will be held August 23-26 in Boston.
