Companies to jointly market software to health care providers.

Mediware Information Systems, Inc, a provider of comprehensive post-acute care health care software and Rock-Pond Solutions, a developer of sophisticated reporting and analytics software, announce they have signed an agreement to jointly distribute software products.

The companies will build on their historical success by delivering interoperable software solutions and collaborate on the development of new products. The new products will have deeper integration and provide a seamless service to mutual customers.

Both companies are long-term suppliers to the post-acute health care market. Their combined offerings provide an end-to-end technology solution for providers who deliver Home Infusion (IV), Home Medical Equipment (HME) and Specialty Pharmacy services to patients.

“Technology and information are the key to driving efficiencies, profitability and quality in health care,” said Pete Tanguay, President of Rock-Pond Solutions. “This agreement positions Rock-Pond to go beyond co-marketing our business intelligence solutions with Mediware software. It provides us the ability to co-develop new products and integrate at a level that our shared customers have desired for years.”

Mediware is an industry leader in the post-acute care software market segment with more than 1300 customer sites in the IV, HME, Home Care and Specialty Pharmacy market.

“This new agreement with Rock-Pond is another sign of our commitment to the market and our customers,” said Thomas Mann, President and CEO of Mediware. “The companies have had a great working relationship for years and this is a very natural next step. The combination of Rock-Pond’s reporting and analytics software and our new, next generation CareTendTM software will meet the needs of our post-acute care customers for years to come.”

The combination of Mediware software and Rock-Pond reporting and analytics software is essential for post-acute providers to operate in today’s complex clinical and reimbursement environments. The expanded relationship will increase collaboration between the two businesses and deliver even better solutions as the companies release new products together.
