Jolowsky Installed as ASHP President

PRESS RELEASE

6/9/2014-- Christene M. Jolowsky, M.S., R.Ph., FASHP, was installed last week as ASHP President during the 66th session of the organization’s House of Delegates in Las Vegas.

Jolowsky is Executive Director for Applied and Experiential Education and assistant professor at the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy, in Minneapolis. She recently completed a term on ASHP’s Board of Directors and has served as chair of the Council for Administrative Affairs and was awarded the Distinguished Service Award from the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Practice Managers. Ms. Jolowsky is a past president of the Minnesota Society of Health-System Pharmacists and was recipient of its Preceptor of the Year and Hallie Bruce awards.

James A. Trovato, Pharm.D., M.B.A., BCOP, FASHP, was reelected to a one-year term as chair of the ASHP House of Delegates. Dr. Trovato is associate professor and oncology specialist at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore.

Also taking office during the Society’s annual business meeting were Donald E. Letendre, Pharm.D., and Ranee Runnebaum, Pharm.D., who were installed as members of the ASHP Board of Directors. Letendre is dean and professor at The University of Iowa College of Pharmacy in Iowa City. Runnebaum is the medication safety manager at Oregon Health and Science University Hospital in Portland.
