INPHARMD
Developed at Mercer University by a drug information pharmacist and a team of pharmacy students and residents, InpharmD provides health care providers and patients with reliable, tailored drug and medical information. The app collects information from resources including Medline- Plus, National Guidelines Clearinghouse, DailyMed, and Drugs@FDA.com. After a query is submitted through InpharmD, the app provides a summary of appropriate evidence from a database of more than 20,000 journals and other resources. The app allows users to submit clinical questions and receive customized, evidence-based responses within the user’s requested time frame. The service requires a subscription, with a 3-month free trial available. After the 3-month trial, users pay $24.99 for a monthly subscription with unlimited information requests, $249.99 for a yearly subscription with unlimited information requests, or $14.99 per individual request for those who do not wish to purchase a subscription. The app is currently available for health care providers and will be available for patient use in summer 2015.
