"The Kelly File' host to share her experiences on covering breaking, investigative news in cable media,

Arlington, Va. — Fox News Channel’s Megyn Kelly will headline the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Foundation Dinner, which will be held on December 3 in New York City. The high-profile media personality anchors Fox News Channel’s “The Kelly File” – the second-ranking program in cable news by viewership.

In its 17th year, the NACDS Foundation Dinner and contributions from the Foundation’s benefactors help support evidence-based research that advances patient care, pharmacy education, student scholarships, and charitable organizations that improve patient outcomes.

“Not afraid to ask the tough questions, Megyn Kelly has spent her television career breaking news, cutting through the news clutter and delivering in-depth investigative reporting that resonates with millions of viewers nationwide,” said NACDS Foundation President Kathleen Jaeger. “From her coverage of national and political news to her interviews with newsmakers and national leaders, we look forward to hearing more about how those experiences have shaped her coverage of the news.

The Kelly File focuses on late-breaking stories as well as in-depth investigative reports along with newsmaker interviews. The program capitalizes on Kelly's skills as a former litigator and provides a platform to discuss developing angles as events unfold, while embracing a stronger social media presence. Previously, Kelly anchored her own two-hour solo program, America Live, and before that, she co-anchored America's Newsroom.

During the 2012 and 2014 political seasons, Kelly served as co-anchor of Fox News Channel’s America's Election HQ. According to Nielsen, FNC was the top rated cable news channel on midterm election night in 2014, averaging 6.6 million in total viewers and besting three cable networks in both total viewers and demo for the first time ever.

Throughout her tenure with Fox News Channel, Kelly has covered breaking news and has reported live from numerous political events. Some of the major stories she's covered for the network include the 2013 government shutdown, the Boston Marathon bombing, the election of Pope Francis and the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. She also provided wall-to-wall coverage of the confirmation hearings for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. and Chief Justice John Roberts. In 2009 and 2010, she co-hosted Fox News Channel's coverage of the confirmation hearings of Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.

Kelly began her career in television as a general assignment reporter for WJLA-TV, the ABC affiliate in Washington, DC. Prior to her career in television news, Kelly practiced law as a corporate litigator at Jones Day for nine years and was an associate in the Chicago office of the law firm Bickel & Brewer LLP.

Among her accolades, in 2014, Kelly was listed as one of TIME magazine's 100 most influential people in the world.

Kelly earned a B.A. degree in Political Science from Syracuse University and a J.D. from Albany Law School, where she graduated with honors and served as editor of the Albany Law Review.
