Can You Read These Rxs?

Registered pharmacist Jerry Boyers and the staff at Rider Pharmacy in Fairmont, West Virginia, were completely stumped by this prescription. Putting in 2 calls to the prescribing doctor’s office proved unsuccessful, as even the office staff there could not decode the handwriting. Finally, the perplexed pharmacist received a faxed reply a couple of days later, clarifying what was being prescribed. Do you have an idea of what the prescription says?

As the manager of a Rite Aid in Garden Grove, California, pharmacist Tiffany Nguyen, PharmD, sees a large number of prescriptions. Although it is not unusual to run into some that are difficult to read, this prescription in particular really left Nguyen at a loss. The unintelligible prescription turned out to be for a commonly prescribed drug. Do you know what it is?
