This Pharmacy Times Webcast provides an overview of how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the treatment and management of patients with cancer.

Hospitals and clinics have modified how they provide care for their patients due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Pharmacists have an important role in the management of patients’ therapy. It is important to keep up with the changes and strategize with the providers, nurses, and staff to provide support for the patients.

During this “Cancer Care Updates in the Era of COVID-19” Pharmacy Times Webcast, we provide an overview of how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the treatment and management of patients with cancer. We will review the changes and strategic planning in providing continuous care without putting the patient at increased risk. Panelists Ali McBride, PharmD, MS, BCOP, FASHP, FAzPA, clinical coordinator at the University of Arizona Cancer Cancer, and Bhavesh Shah, RPh, BCOP, senior director of specialty pharmacy strategy and hematology/oncology pharmacy at Boston Medical Health System, discuss a number of topics pertaining to the management of patients with cancer during the COVID-19 pandemic.
