BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy announces the hiring of Karen Bowe as the national director of hemophilia, northeast, to better meet the needs of its best-in-class Bleeding Disorders Program.
Due to strong company growth, BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy (BioPlus) — one of the nation’s leading specialty pharmacies – expands its team with the hiring of Karen Bowe as the national director of hemophilia, northeast. In her position at BioPlus, Bowe will further develop BioPlus’ best-in-class Bleeding Disorders Program. This program, based on a high-touch intervention model to care and support both patients and caregivers, provides clear cost savings to the payer and optimal clinical outcomes.
“I have developed a strong passion for the bleeding disorders community and the people who work within that community,” shares Bowe. “I am excited to be able to use that passion with the team here at BioPlus to better the lives of those with bleeding disorders.”
Bowe brings more than 25 years of hemophilia experience to BioPlus, both from a hemophilia treatment center perspective, as well as the specialty pharmaceutical industry in general. She holds an MBA. in Health Care Administration from Eastern University and an undergraduate degree in Medical Technology from Elizabethtown College.
