Bartell Drugs Selects KSS Retail for Price and Promotion Optimization

Bartell Drugs has selected KSS Retail, a Cincinnati, Ohio-based dunnhumby Company, as its provider for Price Modeling and Optimization. Bartell Drugs will use the KSS optimization solution to better understand the needs and wants of their customers and to provide value for their shoppers.

“Our customers count on us for great service and value,” said Ron Miller, senior vice president of merchandising at Bartell Drugs, in a statement. “We chose KSS Retail because we know Price Optimization will allow us to better understand what’s important to our shoppers, which will help us deliver the value they’ve come to expect.”

KSS Retail provides real-time modeling and optimization of regular and promotional pricing with the ability to look at pricing by price zones, as well as customer segments. KSS Retail serves several global retailers, including The Kroger Co., O’Reilly Auto Parts, 7-Eleven, Fred’s, Raley’s, Sonae, among others.

The nation’s oldest drugstore chain, Bartell was founded in 1890 by George H. Bartell Sr., and currently operates 58 stores in Washington State.
