- An interview with Nancy Lyons, BSPharm, MBA, CDCES, vice president and chief pharmacy officer at Health Mart, a part of McKesson Corporation, who will be discussing how pharmacy technicians can expand their role in community pharmacy. She will discuss how technicians can complete a community health worker certification.
- A session about public policy presented by McKesson policy experts and industry advocates who work together to elevate the role of the pharmacist in their community. Experts will recap some of the major events in public policy that happened in 2022 and inform pharmacists about exciting new initiatives and updates that can be expected in the coming year.
- An interview with Crystal Lennartz, vice president and general manager of Health Mart Atlas & Atlas Specialty, who will discuss how pharmacies can start to prepare for direct and indirect remuneration (DIR) changes in 2024. She will also be discussing how Health Mart Atlas DIR Assist can help pharmacies prepare.
- An educational discussion about the important and growing role of the pharmacy technician. The educational session will explain how technicians can contribute more to the pharmacy team when they receive community health worker (CHW) training, the growing impact they can have on their community as an advocate, and it will inform what is required to receive CHW training.
- An interview with Brittany Hoffman-Eubanks, PharmD, MBA, senior manager of Clinical Pharmacy Oversight at Health Mart, who will be discussing the impact of pharmacy-based COVID-19 vaccines. She will be discussing the roll community pharmacies played, the impact it had on underserved populations, and the momentum for the continued evolutions of pharmacy.
