Application Provides Rx Refills via Internet
Voice-Tech's Internet Refill Solution is now a standard feature with each new Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System. The company will work with a pharmacy to link the Internet Refill Solution to an existing Web site or help a pharmacy create a new Web site if one does not currently exist.
The Internet Refill Solution securely allows a patient to request prescription refills via the pharmacy's Web site. Using direct communication with the pharmacy management software, the application verifies whether or not refills are available. The request is then displayed in the pharmacy system's work queue. The patient is informed of the refill status and is given a scheduled pick-up time.
The solution improves the company's IVR System, which generally handles 40% to 60% of all refill requests. Other features of the module include the following:
- 24-hour access to the pharmacy
- Automatic processing of patient refill requests
- Automatic processing of physician authorization requests
