Pharmacy First, PDX Enter into Agreement
Pharmacy First and PDX have entered into a strategic partnership. Pharmacy First is a national network of retail community pharmacies in the United States. PDX is a pharmacy software technology company. Under the agreement, PDX will assist in expanding Pharmacy First program offerings to the retail pharmacy marketplace and broaden the network's marketing reach.
The new affiliation will result in significant expansion of the number of retail drugstores participating in the network. "To a large extent, Pharmacy First is experiencing sustained growth through comarketing agreements with our technology partners," said Steve Friedman, Pharmacy First executive director.
According to Friedman, the partnership combines the strengths of both organizations to provide improved pharmacy care for patients while enhancing economic viability for community pharmacies. "Pharmacy First has been very successful in contracting directly with drug makers on behalf of our retail pharmacy membership," he added,"and now these programs will represent a potentially significant source of revenue for PDX customers as well."
