NCPA Launches Resource for Pharmacy Ownership

Potential pharmacy owners now have a place to go for help with pharmacy ownership concerns. The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), with the support of McKesson Corporation, has launched the "Virtual Mentors for Pharmacy Ownership" portal, which is accessible through the NCPA Web site, www.ncpanet.org. Once on the Web site, visitors need to click on the Virtual Mentors for Pharmacy Ownership button under "Professional Issues."

The portal provides aspiring owners with the answers to >50 frequently asked questions (FAQs) regarding pharmacy ownership. Pharmacy owners from across the United States volunteered to answer the questions and share insights based on their opinions and personal experience in pharmacy ownership. Also, site visitors are welcome to submit specific questions to mentors for a personal response. The NCPA will continue to expand the FAQs as the next generation of pharmacy owners submits its questions. In the future, the NCPA plans to add valuable features, including resources to assist those interested in pharmacy ownership in underserved areas.
