At the completion of this activity the participant will be able to:
- Analyze the unaddressed gaps of reversal agents for direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) and the risk of bleeding complications
- Identify patients who are at high risk for major bleeding secondary to DOAC use
- Examine current and emerging DOAC reversal agents and their safety and efficacy
- Explore the role of the health-system pharmacist in ensuring optimal management of the patient with DOAC-associated bleeding and implementing standards of practice for reversal agents using clinical vignettes
