Clinical testing of COVID-19 vaccine efficacy has led to the first FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccine, Comirnaty.

As COVID-19 vaccination efforts continue, it is more important than ever for pharmacists to be equipped with the knowledge and resources to bust the myths surrounding vaccinations, particularly in preparation for the upcoming influenza season, which is expected to occur from October 2021 to May 2022.

Currently, a total of 2612 vaccines are being investigated for a number of infectious diseases, including Zika, Ebola, Lassa, Nipah, Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV), HIV, and coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
