Pharmacy Times® interviewed Brady Stein, MD, MHSc, of the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, on the survival estimates for patients with polycythemia vera in the past and the mortality rates among these patients.

Pharmacy Times® interviewed Brady Stein, an associate professor of medicine in hematology and oncology at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, on his presentation at the 62nd ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition. The presentation discusses a multicenter, noninterventional, prospective observational study of patients with polycythemia vera (PV) in US clinical practices, specifically in relation to mortality and causes of death.

In this video, Stein details the survival estimates for patients with PV in the past and explains why it was important to further investigate the mortality rates among these patients.
