Scheiber Pharmacy's Naloxone Distribution to Local Law Enforcement

Larry Schieber, RPh, pharmacist and owner of Shieber Pharmacy in Circleville, OH discusses his pharmacist's recent initiative to distribute naloxone to local law enforcement at the 2019 Cardinal Health Retail Business Conference in Nashville, TN.

Larry Schieber, RPh: So last year we received a grant from Cardinal Health in order to buy naloxone to supply first responders, and when we started asking the questions about it we found out that a lot of the agencies had very little or no naloxone available to them, so they were quite appreciative. And since it has been distributed they've used quite a bit of it. It's truly been a very successful program.
