PRS Pharmacy Services Becomes Exclusive Broker Recommended to NCPA Members Looking to Sell Their Pharmacy

The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with the PRS Pharmacy Services (PRS).

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (March 23, 2017) The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with the PRS Pharmacy Services (PRS).

As NCPA's trusted partner for many years, PRS's new Seller/Buyer Offering Plan will be the exclusive offering of NCPA to the 22,000 independent community pharmacies it represents. The Seller/Buyer Offering Plan will match the interests of potential buyers to the pharmacy with customized, focused marketing via PRS's extensive network of buyers and contacts.

In addition to the exclusive broker Seller/Buyer Offering Plan, PRS is pleased to offer two non-exclusive wrap-around services that will assist NCPA members in the preparation, sale and transfer of a pharmacy business. PRS's Seller Prep Plan will ascertain a pharmacy's current operations, analyzing how to make improvements that will normalize the potential selling price. Upon the sale of a pharmacy, PRS's Closing and Transfer Plan provides the expertise and support to plan and execute the transfer of the pharmacy. Each PRS service is available separately or as a package.

NCPA CEO B. Douglas Hoey, RPh, MBA is enthusiastic about the partnership, saying, "What sets PRS apart from the typical 'broker' is their ability to handle every aspect of the preparation, sale and post-sale transition process. PRS works with independents in all 50 states and, most importantly, PRS will prioritize making sure independents stay independent, which is good for NCPA and all independent pharmacy owners."
