PQA's Continuing Education Program Continues to Influence

PQA's program is focused on quality measurement and improving the safe and appropriate use of medications.

Pharmacy Times spoke to Amanda Ryan, PQA Director of Education, about PQA's continuing education program focused on medication use quality.

Ryan: PQA has a continuing education program that we developed two years ago. It's focused on quality measurement and improving the safe and appropriate use of medications. It's available in a couple of forms.

The original form is available as an online on-demand CPE program, and then we recently launched a live version of the program, where participants can participate in the first 4 hours of the program, and then go online to finish the remaining 11 hours, so we really enjoy the interactivity of that part.

There are 3 tracks that are available in the program: 1 is focused on calculating quality measures; the second one is focused on the health care quality landscape; the third one is focused on HIV.
