Pharmacy Hero: Pharmacist Uses Social Media to Spread Awareness During COVID-19

Today, we’re celebrating Shennel Sankar, PharmD, a staff pharmacist at Walmart Pharmacy. Sankar has been going into work early to fill and prepare prescriptions, provide counseling to patients, and ensure they have the safest and most effective options for OTC and prescription medications.

Outside of the pharmacy, Sankar also uses social media to educate and inform patients and other health care professionals, which can be especially important during the chaos of a pandemic.

In addition to caring for patients, Sankar continuously tries to ensure her staff have enough immune vitamins, water, and supplements so that they can safely continue to help patients in the pharmacy.
