Pharmacists Can Alleviate Concerns of Parents, Children, When Discussing COVID-19 Vaccines for Children

In addition, some parents may still be unvaccinated, so counseling them on the safety and efficacy of the vaccines is important.

Jack Mozloom, vice president of public affairs at the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), sat down with John Beckner, RPh, director of strategic initiatives at NPCA, to discuss the anticipated FDA decision on COVID-19 vaccines in children.

In the discussion, Beckner said that pharmacists can play a role in alleviating the concerns of parents, as well as the fear that many children have when getting a shot. In addition, Beckner pointed out that some parents may still be unvaccinated, so counseling them on the safety and efficacy of the vaccines is important.
