Parata Systems and Pharmacy Times Unveil Details for 2015 Next-Generation Pharmacistâ„¢ Awards Gala

PLAINSBORO, N.J. (March 19, 2015) — Parata Systems and Pharmacy Times, founding sponsors of the Next-Generation Pharmacist™ awards — the industry’s leading national awards program — are pleased to announce details for this year’s Next-Generation Pharmacist awards gala. Now in its sixth year, the annual program recognizes outstanding pharmacists, technicians, student pharmacists and industry advocates.

This year’s program culminates in Orlando, Fla., on Thursday, Aug. 6, with an awards gala at Soundstage 33 — right in the heart of Universal Studios Florida

. The “Innovation and Inspiration” themed evening will include entertainment from renowned motivational speaker, entertainer and author Giovanni Livera, who will inspire attendees with his “Anything is Possible” approach to magic, work and life.

At this event, pharmacists, technicians, student pharmacists and industry advocates will have the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the work of their peers. Finalists who are defining the future of the industry will be recognized, and winners will be announced and receive their awards. One winner will receive the program’s top honor and be named the 2015 Next-Generation Pharmacist. This winner will also be featured on the August 2015 cover of Pharmacy Times.

Now Accepting Next-Generation Pharmacist Nominations

Nominations for the Next-Generation Pharmacist awards are being accepted through April 14 at nextgenerationpharmacist.com. An independent panel of esteemed judges, chaired by Pharmacy Times editor-in-chief Fred M. Eckel, R.Ph., M.S., will evaluate entries. Up to three finalists will be named in each category. These finalists will be featured in the July 2015 issue of Pharmacy Times and on nextgenerationpharmacist.com.
