At the American Heart Association's (AHA) Scientific Sessions 2017, Paul Whelton, MD, MSc, chair of guidelines committee and professor of Global Public Health at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, gave a presentation on the new hypertension guidelines developed by the AHA and the American College of Cardiology.
