ALEXANDRIA, Va. (June 30, 2026) – The National Community Pharmacists Association is pleased to announce the keynote speakers for its 2026 Annual Convention, set for Oct. 3-6 in Kansas City, Mo. NCPA’s Annual Convention is the premier national business show for independent pharmacists and their teams. This year is focusing on how attendees can turn peer-tested strategies into results, a theme that will be woven through the general sessions, peer-to-peer educational programs, networking opportunities, Expo Hall, and more.

The First General Session, sponsored by Anda, will take place the morning of Sunday, Oct. 4. It will feature seasoned Washington, D.C., policy experts who will share their perspectives and predictions ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, which will be just over a month away. With control of Congress hanging in the balance, what could it all mean for health care — specifically the future of additional pharmacy benefit manager reforms? Jim Flood and Scott Douglas will join Anne Cassity, NCPA senior vice president of government affairs, to break it all down.

The Second General Session, sponsored by RedSail Technologies, will take place the afternoon of Monday, Oct. 5. Hitting the stage as official keynote speaker will be Zack Kass, an adviser, researcher, and the former head of go-to-market at OpenAI. At OpenAI, Kass led the teams responsible for sales, partnerships, and customer success, turning the company’s cutting-edge research into real-world business solutions. He has personally advised executives across dozens of industries on deploying AI at scale. He now works with Fortune 1,000 boardrooms and leadership teams — including Coca-Cola, Morgan Stanley, and Amgen — to help leaders navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape. His mission is to ensure individuals, businesses, and governments are active participants in the AI-powered future by making the technology both understandable and actionable.
