Alyson McGregor, MD, of Brown University explains what pharmacists should understand about the impact of sex and gender on medicine within their practice.

Pharmacy Times interviewed Alyson McGregor, MD, an emergency medicine physician and a professor of emergency medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. She is co-founder and director of the Sex and Gender in Emergency Medicine program in her department and is also a co-founder of the national organization Sex and Gender Health Collaborative. She also recently published the book Sex Matters: How Male-Centric Medicine Endangers Women's Health and What We Can Do About It.

During the interview, McGregor explained what pharmacists should understand about the impact of sex and gender on medicine within their practice.
