Pharmacy Times spoke with Lisa Hines, PQA Chief Quality and Innovation Officer, about new/potential data sources that PQA is exploring to develop future measures.
Hines: We had our hands tied while we're relying only on claims data. There's only so much you can get out with with the claims data. So we're expanding to use pharmacy system data, EHR data laboratory data, immunization registry or other registry data, patient reported data. So it's really opening up the world for us to develop more meaningful measures and get at patient reported and clinical outcome measures.
