Indication: Zantac can treat and prevent heartburn, as well as treating stomach ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and conditions that cause too much stomach acid.

Insight:

• An FDA-approved histamine 2 blocker that reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach.
• The active ingredient is famotidine 20 mg.
• Inactive ingredients include carnauba wax, corn starch, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, red iron oxide, sodium starch glycolate, talc, titanium dioxide, yellow iron oxide.
• Trouble or pain swallowing food, vomiting with blood, or bloody or black stools may be signs of a serious condition and a physician should be consulted.
• To relieve symptoms, swallow 1 tablet with a glass of water. Do not chew.
• Do not use more than 2 tablets in 24 hours.
