ASHP to Testify at House Hearing on Compounding

July 16, 2013--ASHP is scheduled to testify today at a congressional hearing on reforming the regulatory framework of pharmacy compounding.

Kasey K. Thompson, Pharm.D., M.S., ASHP vice president of policy, planning, and communications, will represent the Society at the hearing called by the Health Subcommittee of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

ASHP members are encouraged to email their House of Representatives member and ask for support of compounding legislation that establishes a clear jurisdictional boundary between the FDA and state boards of pharmacy.

The hearing will be broadcast at 3:00 p.m. on the Committee's website.
