INITIATIVE ATTACKS ALLERGY SYMPTOMS
Allergy season is upon us,and Rite Aid has launched acomprehensive allergy programat its nationwide drugstores.Through this month,the drugstore chain is handingout free informational guides that educate patientsabout allergies—what they are, what causes them,and how to treat them. The company also is offering afree magnetic allergy-tip magnet and coupon book.Aside from coupons for allergy-relief products, thereare tips on how to reduce or eliminate allergy symptomsby making changes around the house.
In a collaborative effort, Rite Aid and the AmericanAcademy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology havedeveloped an 11-page guide. The guide recommendsOTC allergy remedies that work best for certainsymptoms, informs patients about allergy questionsto ask health care professionals, provides advice onallergy prevention for children, and gives tips forallergy-proofing homes.
