SureScripts Program Gains Momentum

Support for the SureScripts Membership Program continues to grow. SureScripts, a provider of electronic prescribing services, was established to support the use of technology and the necessary improvements to make the prescribing process safer and more efficient. The company continues to work closely with pharmacies that are taking a leadership role to educate physicians on the benefits of electronic prescribing, increase adoption, reduce medication errors, and deliver a higher quality of care to patients. Since its inception, the SureScripts Membership Program has steadily increased:

  • More than 85% of the nation's pharmacies and pharmacy software companies have signed agreements and been certified to connect to the SureScripts network
  • More than 50% of the nation's pharmacies are expected to be live on the network by the end of 2005
  • More than 36% of the nation's pharmacies have elected to enroll in the SureScripts Membership Program and receive discounts off transaction fees in addition to other benefits
  • Currently 65% of chain pharmacies are participating in the SureScripts Membership program
