Pass the Hame, Please
It has long been known that a daily low-level dose of aspirin can reduce the risk of heart attack by keeping the platelets in the blood from binding together and forming a clot. It appears, however, that clove, the spice known for centuries as ?the black rose,? provides the same anticoagulant effect.The same is true of clove oil, a remedy long prescribed for toothache. So says the April 2002 edition of Prostaglandins, Leukotrienes, and Essential Fatty Acids.
