FDA Approves Zydus Cadila for Butalbital, Acetaminophen, and Caffeine Tablets

The combination medication is used to treat the symptoms of tension or muscle contraction headaches. The drug is only available via a prescription from a physician.

Zydus Cadila has received final approval from the FDA to market butalbital, acetaminophen, and caffeine tablets in dose strengths of 50 mg, 325 mg, and 40 mg.

Zydus Cadila now has 294 approvals and has filed more than 390 abbreviated new drug applications since the commencement of the filing process in the first year, 2003 to 2004, according to a press release.
