Pharmacy Hero: Pharmacist Uses Social Media Platforms to Educate Patients, Advocate for Pharmacy

Today, we’re thanking Christina Madison, BS, PharmD, BCACP, AAHIVP, for her work advocating for the pharmacy profession in the midst of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. In addition to teaching at Roseman University of Health Sciences, Madison has been using social media and her role as “The Public Health Pharmacist” to advocate for pharmacists’ role as public health professionals.

On social media, Madison has been sharing infographics and data from resources such as the World Health Organization and CDC, and she has also been speaking in various podcasts and news segments about the importance of pharmacists.
