Vitamin C Supplements for Pregnant Smokers May Help Baby Breathe

Taking vitamin C supplements during pregnancy may improve the lung function of infants born to smokers, according to the results of a recent study published in the May 28, 2014, issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association. Infants born to women who took vitamin C supplements had significantly improved lung functioning and decreased wheezing through 1 year of age.
