PQA's Efforts Towards Pharmacy Measures for 2022

Video

PQA is working on developing measures specifically for evaluating pharmacy performance measurement.

Pharmacy Times spoke to Lisa Hines, PQA Chief Quality and Innovation Officer, about PQA's measure development priorities for 2022.

Hines: So right now we're continuing to focus on developing important health plan measures that can be used in CMS programs. And we're moving towards developing more and more pharmacy measures, so measures specifically for evaluating pharmacy performance measurement. And along those lines, were using some pilots to evaluate the feasibility of some of the novel pharmacy measure concepts that we're looking at. And that's really to serve as like a proof of concept for use of standardized measures in value based arrangements.
