Pharmacist Medication Insights: Octagam for Chronic Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura

Octagam 10% is indicated for the treatment of chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura in adults and dermatomyositis (DM) in adults

Octagam 10% is an immune globulin intravenous (human) liquid preparation indicated for the treatment of:

  • Chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) in adults
  • Dermatomyositis (DM) in adults

Further, Octagam 10% is the first and only intravenous immunoglobulin to be indicated for the treatment of adult dermatomyositis.
