Pharmacy Times interviewed Ronald T. Piervincenzi, CEO of US Pharmacopeia (USP), on a recent USP survey that showed 9 out of 10 physicians feel their trust in the ability of the US supply chain to deliver safe, quality medicines has eroded.

During the interview, Piervincenzi addressed whether the presence of misinformation online and on social media have contributed to health care professionals experiencing an erosion of trust in the medicine supply chain, where the responsibility for solutions to fix this erosion of trust may lie, whether pharmacists share physicians’ erosion of trust in the US medicine supply chain, and what the consequences of this eroded trust may be.
