STAR CENTER AIMS TO IMPROVE HOSPITAL PHARMACY PRACTICES
Baxa Corp recentlyopened itsstate-of-the-artSTAR (Skills Training,Academicsand Resources)Center for pharmacy and clean roomskills training.
The Englewood, Colo-based companydesigned and built the STAR Center as afully US Pharmacopeia <797>-compliantpharmacy clean room to provide professionaleducation on pharmacy practice,clean room principles, and compliancewith regulatory requirements.
"The STAR Center provides pharmacieswith an unparalleled opportunity toimprove performance and regulatorycompliance," stated Pete Campanella,PharmD, director of professional servicesfor Baxa. "However, the facility hasapplication for other related industriesfor training in best practices. We areworking with pharmaceutical manufacturers,clean room certifiers, and others."
