Michael Evans is the director of Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Programs with Geisinger Health System (GHS) and leads the Medication Disease Management Program. “Mike’s contributions have led to excellent outcomes for patients: the pain therapy program has given patients better pain control, diabetics with previously uncontrolled A1C3 have gotten within range, and cancer patients with medication side effects have been managed successfully,” his nominator wrote.

Greatest Achievements

Being a father, obtaining a pilot’s license, and developing, building, and operating an ambulatory pharmacy disease management program at GHS.

Source of Inspiration

The challenge of flight, the opportunity to fly, and the inspiration and discipline of clinical pharmacy. I think those things helped me develop dedication and inspired me to get ahead.
