Educational Objectives

After completing this continuing education program, the participant will be able to:

• Examine the prevalence of contact lens use worldwide and in the United States, as well as the types of contact lenses available and the types of wearing schedules.
• Differentiate between currently available contact care lens products, including recommendations for appropriate patient use.
• Identify high rates of noncompliance and reasons for noncompliance as they relate to contact lens cleaning solutions.
• Explore frequently asked patient questions in regard to appropriate use of contact lenses and contact lens care products.
