Epocrates Inc (San Mateo, Calif) recently announced that clinicians and support staff can now access an online version of its free mobile drug and formulary guide—Epocrates Online—used by >500,000 health care professionals. Epocrates Online provides clinicians with access to critical information about >3300 drugs, including dosing, pricing, potential drug interactions, and Medicare Part D formulary coverage from any computer with an Internet connection. The product also includes formulary information for >130 health plans and hundreds of Medicare Part D formularies. Health care professionals can quickly and easily obtain formulary status, drug coverage, and alternative and generic drug options for the patients' health plans. Clinicians who want a more comprehensive Web reference can subscribe to the Epocrates Online premium product.
