McKesson APS (Pittsburgh, Pa) recently introduced the AccuCount pharmacy scale.The product quickly and accurately counts and weighs tablets and capsules. Because of its extreme precision and 1-touch zeroing, AccuCount also is an option for compounding. Certified for counting and weighing by the National Type Evaluation Program, AccuCount meets or exceeds US Pharmacopeia requirements for weighing.The scale has a 620-g capacity and a readability of 1 mg, ensuring compounding accuracy. AccuCount has a 7500-item database that covers most pharmacy drug lists, including the McKesson OneStop Generics program list.
